After we have confirmed your deposit, we will confirm your reservation by email within the next 3 business days.

We must receive your balance payment at least one day prior to your departure date. Payment can be made in cash using U.S. dollars ($), Peruvian Nuevos Soles (S/.), or traveler checks.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • To confirm a reservation, we need the complete personal information of each member of your group, such as passport full names, passport nationality, passport number, ages, gender, and if you are a vegetarian. Passport numbers are very important, so if you are in the process of getting a new one just let us know. The names and passport numbers that you send us when you booked a trek will be written on your trek permit. After purchasing the permit, we cannot change the date of trek departure or change the name or passport number on the trek permit. When you start the Inca Trail, government wardens will cross-check your passport details with the details on the trek permit, if the details are not the same then you will not be allowed to start the trek.
  • Please let us know if you want to hire the services of personal carriers (either half or a complete one), or stay an extra night in Aguas Calientes after the trek, all these details are very important.
  • Clients who have booked as students must bring their original ISIC cards to Cusco.

Cancelation Polices

INKA TRAIL

  • EXPERIENCE COLIBRI requests a non-refundable 50% deposit to guarantee your Inca Trail permits.
  • Balance payments have to be done at least a day before your departure date using USD cash, Peruvian soles, or traveler checks.

    CLIENT’S CANCELATION

  • In case of trek cancellation up to 16 days before the trek departure, the deposit is non-refundable and we must receive a written notification of your decision to cancel the trip.
  • Trek cancellation between 15 – 1 days prior to the trek departure (after having paid the balance), we will not be able to refund any of the money, we can only give you:
  • The Inca Trail entry ticket, which is valid to visit Machupicchu.
  • Train ticket to come back from Aguas Calientes to Cusco.
  • In case you have started the Inca Trail (after having paid in full), we won’t be able to refund any of the money, we can only give you :
  • The Inca Trail entry ticket, which is valid to visit Machupicchu.
  • Train ticket to come back from Aguas Calientes to Cusco.
  • Bust ticket from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes.
  • In all instances of trek cancellation by the client, COLIBRI will provide a written confirmation of the cancellation and details of any payments lost, this could be used in the event of any insurance claim made by the client.

COLIBRI TOUR CANCELLATION

If EXPERIENCE COLIBRI has to cancel your Inca Trail reservation, because of a forced situation outside of the company’s control such as strikes, climatic disasters, and others:

  • The company will notify you by e-mail.
  • The company will give you another trekking option with the same amount of days.

Only if the company is not able to offer you another alternative trek, we will refund only the part of the cost of the trek that has not already been spent or used for operating the trek (Example: entrance fees, train tickets, and others.)

ALTERNATIVE TREKS AND EXPEDITIONS

  • EXPERIENCE COLIBRI requires a non-refundable 40% deposit to secure your places.

Balance payment has to be done at least a day prior to your departure date using USD cash, Peruvian soles, or traveler checks.

CLIENT’S CANCELATION

  • Trek cancellation between 2 days and the night before the departure date (after having paid the trek in full), we won’t be able to refund any of the money, we can only give you:
  • Entrance ticket to visit Machupicchu.
  • Train ticket to come back from Aguas Calientes to Cusco.
  • Bust ticket from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes.
  • Trek cancellation when you have started it: the company won’t give you any refund.

COLIBRI TOUR CANCELLATION

If EXPERIENCE COLIBRI has to cancel your Inca Trail reservation, because of a forced situation outside of the company’s control such as strikes, climatic disasters, and others:

  • We will notify you by e-mail.
  • We will give you another trekking option with the same amount of days.
  • In case we are not able to offer you another alternative trek, then we will refund you only part of the cost of the trek that has not already been spent or committed to operating the trek (Example: entrance fees, train tickets, guides, and others).

Balance payment has to be done in Cusco using USD Cash, Peruvian soles or traveler checks.

CLIENT’S CANCELLATION

  • In case of last-moment cancellation after having paid it in full, the company won’t give you any refund.

EXPERIENCE COLIBRI CANCELLATION

If EXPERIENCE COLIBRI has to cancel your booking due to a forced situation outside of the company’s control (Example: climatic disasters, strikes, and others):

  • We will notify you by e-mail.
  • We will give you another option with the same amount of days-
  • In case we are not able to offer you another option, we will then refund only part of the cost of the trek that has not already been spent or committed to operating the trek (Example: entrance fees, train tickets, guides, and others).

NOTE: In case, for any reason, you change passport number, you have to let us know as soon as you get it, because the passport number is very important to get into the trail (this is following government laws.
