Cult of La virgen del Carmen or Mamacha Carmen, is expressed with colorfulrepresentations in the procession through the streets of Paucartambo twon, music, choirs sing in Quechua and dances representing passages in the history ofPeru. On the main day, the Virgin blesses the audience and away the demons who perform risky stunts on the roof. There is a war representation against the demons, which the faithful win. |

July 15th: CUSCO - PAUCARTAMBO
At 8:00 am, we will depart in our private van Cusco, in the way we will have a brief stop to visit the Chullpas de Ninamarka or (Cemeteries of the Wari culture (which was the capital and name of the first known empire in the Andes), where we will enjoy our box lunch, then continue to Paucartambo driving to Tres Cruces, where we camp.
July 16th: PAUCARTAMBO
Very early, if the weather allows us we will see the SUNRISE (natural spectacle with a variety of colors, shapes and shades) appreciated from the Akhanacu natural balcony, then we will return toirges to Paucratambo to participate in theprocession of the Virgen del Carmen and appreciate the parade of the different dances. In the afternoon return to Cusco.
