This is the hardest version of the traditional Inca Trail, because it covers the same distance (42 km) in 3 days of walking.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Pisacacucho – Llulluchapampa

We pick you up at your hotel (km 82) after that we go to Piscacucho village, the beginning point of our trek. Next we visit Llactapata and continue to our camp in Lulluchampa.

Day 2: Llulluchapampa – Sayaqmarka – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñaywayna

Considered as the most attractive and difficult section, because of the way that we cross the highest point at 4200 m above sea level. Then we go down to Paqaymayo Valley and we walk to the second highest point (Runkurakay). We go down to Sayaqmarka and we go around the mountains to Phuyupatamarca, and finally start descending to Wiñaywayna.

Day 3: Wiñaywayna – Machupicchu – Cusco

We being the final part of the trek to the lost city of Machupicchu. First, we will hike to Inti Punku (“Sun Gate”), where we take in the beautiful panoramic view of Machupicchu. After that, we head down to Machupicchu, we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes where we have some free time afterwards to enjoy the town.

Shared Service

This tour is recommended for people who are in good shape and don’t have much time to visit the Inca Trail and Machupicchu. There are 2 departure days per week, Tuesday and Thursday, with a minimum of 4 people, in case there is less than 4 people, we have to transfer our departure to the next departure date.
