DAY 1: Day 01: Lima
Arrival in Lima, reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel
Day 02: Lima - City Tour :
We will pick up at your hotel in the early afternoon to start the city tour around modern and colonial sites of Lima. The excursion includes: Paseo de la Republica, the cathedral, Main Square, San Francisco monastery, the residential areas of San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar. After the tour, we will take you to your hotel.
(Drop off includes only hotels in downtown Lima, San Isidro and Miraflores )
Day 03: Lima / Cusco – City Tour
Arrival in Cusco, reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Morning off. We will pick you up in the afternoon to start a tour around the city of Cusco. We will visit Qoricancha temple, the cathedral, the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko and Puka Pukara, Q’enqo and Tambomachay.
Return to the hotel.
Day 04 : Sacred Valley
(Available Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday)
Pick up at the hotel to start a guided excursion around the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit first the archaeological site of Pisaq, you will also have time to visit the famous native market of this town. On our second stop we will enjoy a delicious lunch and then we will continue to visit the archaeological group of Ollantaytambo.
On our way back to Cusco, we will visit Chinchero and its beautiful colonial church.
We will transport you to your hotel.
Día 05 : Camino inca : Cusco – Chachabamba – Wiñayhuayna - Machupicchu
Early in the morning we will take you to the train station in Cusco. We will travel to Chachabamba, after checking in at the tourist station, we will hike for about 3 hours until we arrive to the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna. Along the way we will enjoy the beautiful landscape, which includes a wide variety of orchids. After luncho we will continue trekking to Inti Punku (Gatr of the Sun), from where we will have an amazing view of Machupicchu. We will descend to Aguas Calientes by bus, enjoy a delicious dinner and then go to the hotel for a well deserved rest. (L,D)
Day 06 : Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco
We will get up very early in the morning to take one of the first busses to the wonderful Machupicchu citadel. You will have a guided tour around the splendid areas of this archeological site and then you will have the option to hike to the top of Huaynapicchu. After this unforgettable experience we will descend again to Aguas Calientes, where we will take the trai back to Cusco. (B)
Day 07 : Cusco / Puerto Maldonado – Lago Sandoval
We will pick you up at Puerto Maldonado airport and transport you to the port. We will travel along Tambopata river to Sandoval lake. When we arrive, we will start a short hike and see different kinds of birds, butterflies and other species. We will continue by boat through the forest until we arrive to the lodge. During this day we will also see the giant otters, monkeys, macaws and other animals.

Day 08 : Sandoval Lake
Very early in the morning we will have the opportunity to have a closer look at the variety of animals and the beauty of the Peruvian jungle. We will see the giant otters that patrol the lake in groups, birds that are also very active during this time of the day and we will also see the big and clumsy Shansho, a very particular type of bird of this region.
After breakfast, we will take a walk around the primary tropical forest that surrounds the lodge, We will see the huge Brazilian walnut trees that abound in this place and meet a local family who will show us how they harvest the nuts, peal them and get them ready to be sold.
Day 09 : Sandoval Lake- Puerto Maldonado – Lima
After breakfast we will start the last hike of the excursion through the palm tree forest on the western side of the lake. We will look for the resident family of Giant Otters and we will enjoy the glorious jungle sunrise reflected on the wide lake that can be seen from this area. We will come back down the road towards Madre De Dios River and take a boat back to Puerto Maldonado. We will transfer you to the airport to take a flight to Lima.
