The Royal Inka Trail covers the last part of the Trail and the walk down into the sanctuary-city of Machupicchu. It is an easy and fast trek that we provides our clients who have less time in Cusco an Inka Trail experience, a tour of Machupicchu and a night in the town of Aguas Calientes.

Note: Every February the Inka trail is closed for maintenance. During February, we offer excellents alternatives routes.

DAY 1: CUSCO - WINAYWAYNA - AGUAS CALIENTES
We pick you up in your hotel for our short shuttle to Cusco’s San Pedro train station. The train ride covers 104 kilometers/64.6 miles (4 hours), and then we set out on our trek to Wiñaywayna after that, we walk to Inti Punku ("Sun Gate"), where we can take in a panoramic view of Machupicchu and finally arrive to Aguas Calientes town, where we spend the night.



DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
We take the first bus from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu. We have a tour of Machupicchu city. There is also an optional climb to the top of Huaynapicchu Mountain – the pyramid-shaped peak that overlooks Machupicchu. After the visit you have enough time to exploring Machupicchu for your own or do this climb and the next meeting point is in Aguas Calientes, you take the bus back for your own, According the departure of your train to Cusco

  • A medium day pack (If you have an extra porter bring additional backpack of duffel bag)
  • Poncho Or Rain jacket, ( is a recommendation specialy in Jan. Feb. Mar. Agos. Sep, Oct, Nov, Dic) you can buy the plastic ponchos.
  • Strong footwear, Ideally for treking or sport shoes.
  • Flash light and bateries ( per person)
  • Camera, film and extra bateries ( the bateries consume more quickly under cold conditions)
