line
Service: Private & Shared
Next Departures: May: 8th - June: 1st, 07th, 09th, 24th, 25th - July: 09th.

For trekkers wanting to get off the well-beaten tourist path and escape to a part of Peru that has changed little over the last 500 years then a trek through the spectacular scenery of the Lares Valley is a must.

This remote and rarely visited region offers avid trekkers an insight into the real lives of the Andean farmer. We’ll have the opportunity to see thatched stone houses surrounded by herds of llamas and alpacas, along with amazing landscapes and refreshing hot springs.

The trek itself is rated moderate; however there are two passes over 4,500 meters/14,760 feet above sea level, so it is essential that you are well-acclimatized to the altitude. If arriving from sea level then plan on spending at least 3 days in Cusco and the surroundings before undertaking the trek.
