Cachicata is a small farming community located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The inhabitants of this ancient village dedicate themselves to growing beans, potatoes, barley, potatoes, and corn.
Near Cachicata village is the famous Chachicata quarry, from where  pink granite stones were extracted to build the famous fortress of Ollantaytambo. During our trek, we walk to Intiwatana archaeological place, and from there we enjoy the wonderful views of the mountain range and the famous Inka God Veronica(snow-capped pick).
